Dr. Jeevanan Jahendran

Dr. Jahendran, a distinguished Otorhinolaryngologist, earned his Master’s degree from the National University of Malaysia in 2004.

From 2004 to 2011, he served as a Lecturer & Consultant ENT surgeon at the university’s teaching hospital.

Presently, he practices at Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur, where his focus has transitioned from nose-related conditions to sleep-related breathing disorders since 2016. Driven by a passion for airway health, he embraced airway orthodontics, evolving into a pioneer of an integrative approach to breathing and upper airway health.

Dr. Jahendran, a committed advocate of education, has not only excelled as a practitioner but also assumed leadership roles, including the presidency of the Malaysian Society of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons. His influence extends to the formation of the College of Otorhinolaryngologists Head and Neck Surgeons under the Academy of Medicine Malaysia.

Dr. Jahendran’s organizational contributions include noteworthy events like the Inaugural Asean Sleep Congress in 2012, Asian Research Symposium in Rhinology in 2016, and the annual ENT Summit. Recently, he spearheaded the Integrative Airway Summit in 2022, with plans for another edition in 2025. His dedicated work centers on the integration of multiple specialties to promote airway health and functional breathing.

Dr. Shereen Lim is a dentist based in Perth, Western Australia, with a special interest in children's airway health. She obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Sleep Medicine from the University of Western Australia and has been actively involved in the team management of snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea since 2011.

Passionate about promoting healthy breathing and airway development from infancy, Dr. Lim authored the book “Breathe, Sleep, Thrive: Discover How Airway Health Can Unlock Your Child’s Greater Health, Learning, and Potential." This text explores the connections between airway health and overall well-being, offering valuable insights and early intervention strategies. It has gained international recognition from both peers and patients, solidifying her reputation as a thought leader in paediatric airway health.

Committed to advancing global professional awareness and integrative care to help more children breathe and sleep easier, Dr. Lim facilitates knowledge exchange through her Facebook group, Airway Health 4 Kids, which has over 5,000 members. She also organizes integrative airway conferences and presents internationally, demonstrating her dedication to empowering healthcare professionals.

In her private practice, Dr. Lim focuses on tongue-tie management, early orthodontics, and myofunctional therapy to optimize health and wellness.

Dr. Stanley Yung-Chuan Liu (MD, DDS, FACS) completed dental and medical schools (2007) and a general surgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency (2013) at UCSF.

During a decade-long tenure at Stanford Medical School (2013-2023), which included a fellowship year and faculty appointments, including associate professorship, Dr. Liu made numerous contributions to the advancement of sleep surgery. Together with his mentor Dr. Powell, they formally trained and cultivated a generation of sleep surgery fellows who have since established successful programs in both academic and private sectors. He published over 90 original studies and textbook chapters. These included updates to the original Stanford sleep surgery protocol, integrating cutting-edge techniques such as sleep endoscopy (DISE), maxillary expansion (DOME), and hypoglossal nerve stimulation (Inspire), while also refining established procedures like maxillomandibular advancement (MMA) through virtual surgical planning and customized implants.

In 2023, Dr. Liu delivered a keynote address at the World Sleep Congress in Rio, further solidifying his recognition as a thought leader in the field. This event showcased his expertise and leadership on a global sleep medicine stage.

In 2024, Dr. Liu assumed the role of Chair of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in South Florida. Guided by his core value, "Restoring sleep airway health is the gateway to wellness," he continues to drive innovation and integration to promote healthy sleep and overall wellness.

Renata passionately served as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 10 years. With a passion for Myofunctional Therapy, she successfully operates an online practice, extending her expertise to patients in over 20 countries.

Renata earned her degrees from Armstrong Atlantic State University and Georgia Highlands University, and discovered her calling for the Myofunctional Therapy field during a 2016 continuing education class.

Drawing inspiration from Brazil's notable contributions to Myofunctional Therapy research, Renata, a former mouth breather, empathizes with those facing myofunctional disorders, fueling her dedication to airway-related health.

In 2021, she founded Airway Circle, uniting health professionals dedicated to dental and airway well-being.

Dr. Jim Papadopolous

Dr. Dimitrios Jim Papadopoulos

Dr Papadopoulos is one of Australia's leading sleep medicine physicians and is widely known for his work with sleep studies in children, and in particular children with developmental delay and disability, AD/HD, orthodontic problems, gastro-intestinal issues and need for CPAP therapy.

Dr Papadopoulos was admitted to FRACP in General Paediatrics in 2002. In 2003 he became the first prospectively accredited Level 2 Paediatric sleep physician in Australasia (highest possible level).

He then established the Paediatric Sleep Unit at St George Private Hospital (2003). This continues to be the only Private Hospital Paediatric Sleep Unit in NSW to offer ASA/NATA accredited Paediatric Sleep Laboratory services including diagnostic studies and CPAP. Our first-in-Sydney ASA / NATA accreditation for these services, including a commendation for our CPAP service, makes us unique amongst paediatric sleep laboratories in Sydney.

Dr Papadopoulos also established Australia’s first multidisciplinary Sleep Clinic for developmentally delayed children (2003), the adolescent sleep unit at St George Hospital (2008), and the first paediatric sleep clinic within the Department of Orthodontics at Sydney Dental Hospital (2008).

In July 2023, Dr Papadopoulos moved his main office to Seaforth Terrace, Millers Point. He now also sees patients and conducts paediatric sleep studies (age 0 to 18) here in the historic heart of the Sydney CBD , nestled between Barangaroo and the Rocks . This Heritage Listed Terrace of State S ign ificance has been meticulously restored and fitted out to provide a more home - like environment for children and families when they have their sleep studies , all without c ompromising on the health and safety requirements of a certified health facility (class 9a) building. To summarise, Dr Papadopoulos is a conjoint lecturer at the University of New South Wales and at the University of Sydney, directs the Paediatric Sleep Di sorders Unit at St George Private hospital and Seaforth Terrace Millers Point , is a staff specialist sleep paediatrician in the South East Sydney Local Health District and an Honorary sleep paediatrician at St George Public Hospital.

Nour finished his BDS at Cairo University with Honors in 2001 followed by an orthodontic residency at Cairo University.

He then moved to Sydney where he completed his master’s degree in Orthodontics at the University of Sydney in 2008 with Honors.

He works in private practice in Chatswood, Sydney and is involved in research and teaching at the University of Sydney. Nour has a special interest in invisible orthodontic techniques such as lingual orthodontics and Invisalign. He is the past president of the Australasian Society of Lingual Orthodontics.

He is also the first and only Australian to become a Titular member of the European Society of Lingual Orthodontics and an Active member of the World Society of Lingual Orthodontics.

Among his special interests are the use of digital technology in orthodontics, early orthodontics and growth modification treatment and he recently completed a PhD on the application of skeletal anchorage in maxillary growth modification for growing children. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has number of scientific publications.
